Russian Literature Course

This course is designed for intermediate and advanced students who are interested in classic and contemporary Russian literature. It is focused on reading and discussing short stories, plays, poems and extracts from novels written by the most significant Russian authors including Pushkin, Gogol, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy, Chekhov, Bulgakov, Nabokov, Brodsky, Pasternak, Solzhenitsyn, Ulitskaya and others.

 


 


  • One-to-one or mini-group Russian classes.
  • 60-minute language sessions.
  • From Intermediate to Advanced level.
  • 1 or 2 times per week recommended.



What Will I Get From This Course?

  1. You will be able to read the masterpieces of Russian literature in original.
  2. You will understand most significant Russian stories and novels, analyze their plots and relations between the characters.
  3. You will develop your reading and conversational skills, expand vocabulary, and improve your skills in oral monologue speech.
  4. You will develop an understanding of various aspects of Russian culture, history and national character.

Course Duration
10 hours for each module.


Working Language
The lessons are conducted entirely in Russian.


Academic Requirements
Students should have at least Intermediate level of Russian to be able to read and discuss Russian texts in original.


Technical Requirements
Students will require Internet connection, Skype or Zoom and Adobe Reader.
